The MAD Freshman Experience
The Start Of High School Life; Getting to Know Each Other; Group Ventures; Zany Music With AJ:
All of these describe the first half of Freshman Year at MAD.
Although It was only a few months ago that the MAD Class of 2022 took their first steps into high school, a tight community of supportive peers has already taken hold. Thanks in part to the efforts of MAD staff and the fantastic Freshman Retreat that took place in Mid-September. Featuring nature, swimming, and even paintball between the new compadres, this trip will be one to be remembered for years to come.
And although high school is full of surprises, it seems that MAD Freshman don’t forget the big picture, learning to support and care for one another.
In a short survey given to the MAD Freshman English Classes, spirits hold high:
“I think that the MAD staff are amazing because they make me feel like they really care about me and care about my future. The projects are difficult but super fun at the same time.”
“I really like everyone, they are all very nice and it feels like a small family within a big school.”
“We all support each other and, even though we may not be in the same social group, are able to come together and connect through our love of digital arts. The projects are very entertaining and somehow relate to the present.”
